As a registered Shiatsu Therapist with more than 11 years of practical experience, I specialise in ‘non-

verbal’ therapies which are designed to release mental, emotional and physical tensions through the body .

We  often express our emotions through our physical bodies. Think of the last time you felt angry or

anxious, you may have felt a  tension in your solar plexus or head and  perhaps butterflies in your stomach

or even a tightness in your chest. When stress and negative emotions are allowed to accumulate in this

way, tensions can  build up throughout  the body and over time this can affect both our physical health and

our mental wellbeing.

 

The therapies I practice release deep seated and chronic tensions, to free up vital energy for physical and

emotional healing and the alleviation of many symptoms. These methods may help conditions where

conventional therapies or treatments have had only limited effect.

 


SHIATSU is based on the same theories as acupuncture but with a focus on using hands instead of

needles.  It works by releasing the blocked energy patterns that can lock the body and mind into cycles of

pain, stress or ill health. Many conditions can be helped, from back and neck problems, sciatica, sports

injuries and arthritis to stress-related problems, asthmatic symptoms, migraines, anxiety and

depression.

 


EMOTIONAL RELEASE THERAPY offers subtle methods for releasing blocked  emotional tensions and

often provides dramatic changes in physical and emotional wellbeing.  Painful emotions can be diffused

gently without the need to relive them. This can be very liberating and deeply relaxing.  Depression,

chronic pain, irritable bowel syndrome and ME and are some of the conditions that it can help. This

method is blended with Shiatsu for a deeper therapeutic effect. 

 

 

EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUES (EFT) is a form of emotional acupressure also designed to

release negative emotions. It can be applied to help a wide range of problems from panic attacks and

phobias to physical pain and insomnia. It can also be used to clear emotional or physical trauma eg car

accident trauma and childhood traumas. EFT is gentle, painless and can often bring rapid results.

 

The treatments I offer are designed to be profoundly relaxing. They can be used as part of a treatment plan

for a particular problem, or purely as a tool for health maintenance and relaxation.
