Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is sometimes referred to as ‘psychological acupuncture’ and is

commonly known as the tapping therapy.

EFT is a simple technique which involves tapping acupoints while you tune in briefly to a particular problem that is affecting you.

The combination of tuning into your feelings while your energy flow is being corrected has been found to have

a powerful effect - it can literally dissolve the negative emotion(s) attached to the problem. It has been found

that balancing the energy in this way neutralizes the emotional ‘charge’ left behind by negative experiences.

This eliminates negative feelings and allows us to let go and function more easily.

The diagram illustrates some of the main points used in EFT.

EFT is an excellent method for dealing with fears, panic attacks, anger, sadness, guilt, shame, personal

issues, phobias, cravings and performance blocks, as well as many physical problems.  It can also be used to

gently clear negative emotions caused by physical or emotional trauma and experiences from childhood.

This is a completely pain free method i.e. you do not have to relive painful experiences for it to work. It  can

used without the need to talk, which maintains client privacy and it can bring rapid results when applied

appropriately. This and the fact that it has a high success rate make it one of the most interesting new

techniques available.

During a session you will be shown how to apply the method yourself, so that you can use it at home. EFT is a

very useful self-help tool that is easy to learn and use in daily life.

EFT is often applied before or after a Shiatsu/ Emotional Release treatment. This helps to reinforce the

beneficial effects of both the treatment and the EFT.
